HO-scale GE AC4400CW Diesel Locomotive with DCC and Sound, CEFX 1051, is a detailed HO model designed to bring the power and presence of late-1990s freight locomotives to a modern layout. Based on Athearn’s Genesis tooling, it captures prototypical detailing with accurate paint schemes, illuminated number boards and marker lights, a see-through cab with a full interior, and finely crafted walkways and handrails. The model includes a DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with dual cube speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell sound, and it runs on both DC and DCC layouts for flexible operation.

On the rails, a heavy die-cast frame and Genesis driveline deliver strong, smooth pulling power, backed by a five-pole skew-wound motor and all-wheel drive. It’s designed for easy DCC installation via a Quick Plug 21-pin connector, with LED lighting and detailed touches such as flexible MU hoses, etched steps, windshield wipers, and a detailed fuel tank. The model also features NMRA-compatible CVs, Kadee-compatible McHenry knuckle couplers, RP25 wheel contours, and a full cab interior, making it a versatile, ready-to-run centerpiece for HO freight scenes. Minimum radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for optimal performance.
