HO GEN GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hopper (ATHG-2122)

HO-scale General American Transportation Company 2600 Airslide Covered Hopper model captures a classic mid-20th-century bulk-hopper design. The Airslide concept uses two narrow, steep-sided troughs with an air-permeable bottom, where air fluidizes the load to help it flow through the outlets during unloading.

Designed for HO layouts, it offers three body styles and a highly detailed underbody with outlet piping, plus a see-through metal roof walk, factory-installed wire grab irons and brake piping, and separately applied round roof hatches and brake wheel. It rides on either roller bearing or Bettendorf trucks with machined metal wheels in RP25 contours and is weighted for steady performance; body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, accurate paint and printing, and a highly detailed injection-molded body complete the faithful presentation. With a minimum 18-inch radius requirement, it's well suited for realistic yard and mainline operation.
