The prototype uses air pumped through an air-permeable bottom to fluidize the load, allowing bulk materials to discharge through the outlets—a design historically used for flour, starch, sugar, and plastics. In its single-bay 70-ton configuration, this car captures a distinctive mid-century bulk freight look for authentic HO layouts.

Model features include three body styles, a detailed underbody with outlet piping, and options such as rectangular or oval shaker brackets, gravity or gravity-pneumatic outlets, and a see-through metal roof walk with factory-installed wire grab irons and brake piping. Separately applied round roof hatches and brake wheel add to the realism, while roller bearing or Bettendorf trucks ride on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and are weighted for steady operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, accurate painting, and precise detailing complete the look, and a minimum curve radius of 18 inches makes it compatible with common HO layouts.
