This HO-scale GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hopper is a detailed replica of General American Transportation's 2,600-cubic-foot airslide hopper, a bulk-car design that fluidizes cargo for easier discharge through the roof outlets. The Airslide concept uses air pumped through a bottom layer of permeable material to help the load flow, a technology that defined mid-century bulk-hopper service. The model recreates the classic single-bay configuration and reflects variations seen in the fleet, including units that were sometimes paired in two-unit sets to boost capacity.

This HO-scale hopper offers three body styles and a highly detailed underbody with outlet piping, a see-through metal roof walk, and factory-installed wire grab irons and brake piping. It also features separately applied roof hatches and a brake wheel, and can be fitted with either roller-bearing or Bettendorf trucks along with machined metal RP25 wheels.
