This HO-scale GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hopper reproduces a classic bulk-car used for transporting sugar and other dry goods. The model highlights the Airslide design, with two narrow, steep-sided bays and an air-permeable bottom that fluidizes the load for smooth unloading through roof hatches and hopper outlets. Originating in the 1950s, these cars offered about 2,600 cubic feet of capacity and could operate solo or in paired sets, making them a staple for sugar and bakery shipments. The GACX and Diamond Sugar liveries faithfully capture the era and usage of these cars.

Model features include three body styles, detailed underbody with outlet piping, a see-through roof walk, factory-installed grab irons and brake piping, and separately applied roof hatches and brake wheel.
