HO scale General American Transportation Company 2600 Airslide Covered Hopper with GACX/Pillsbury markings is a detailed reproduction of a classic mid‑century bulk‑carrying hopper. In prototype service, Airslide hoppers fluidize the load by pumping air through a permeable bottom, letting materials such as flour, sugar, starch and plastics flow smoothly to the outlets. The 2,600‑cubic‑foot, single‑bay design debuted in 1953 with about a 70‑ton capacity, and some cars were later paired into two‑unit sets to extend capacity.

On the model, three body styles are represented and a range of authentic detailing is reproduced: an underbody with outlet piping, rectangular or oval shaker brackets, and gravity or gravity‑pneumatic outlets; a see‑through metal roof walk; factory‑installed wire grab irons and brake piping; separately applied round roof hatches and a brake wheel. Trucks can be either roller bearing or Bettendorf, with machined metal RP25 wheels and a weight for stable operation. Body‑mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, precise painting and printing, and a highly detailed injection‑molded body round out the realism, with a minimum radius of 18 inches on HO‑scale track.
