HO-scale 50-foot PC&F box car with Youngstown plug doors from Athearn Genesis captures late-era freight service on HO layouts. Available with 6-foot and 8-foot plug doors (including a Hydra Cushion-equipped version), this model delivers prototypical operation and a convincing in-service appearance to a model roster.

Designed for realism and reliable running, it features wire grab irons, etched coupler platforms, and, where applicable, an etched roofwalk; full underframe detail with air brake reservoir, control valve, and brake cylinder plumbing; weighted for stable rolling; separate grab irons; trucks with rotating bearing caps; coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, and brake hoses; body-mounted scale knuckle couplers; machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on common HO track; and a highly detailed injection-molded body with accurate paint and printing. It supports HO radii with a minimum of 18 inches and a 22-inch radius recommended for best performance. The primed-for-grime variant offers an in-service look, with faded base colors and an easy starting point for weathering grime and rust.
