Introducing the Athearn Genesis F89-F flat car in XTTX Yellow, an HO-scale model that faithfully recreates the 1960s Trailer Train flatcar used in intermodal service. The four-hitch XTTX configuration mirrors how these cars carried a variety of trailers, and the decorated model comes ready to run right out of the box. It features a heavy die-cast underframe and a detailed deck with the distinctive C-channel side sills that set this design apart.

On the rails, the model delivers authentic operation: raised and lowered hitches, wire-formed brake plumbing, and a highly detailed injection-molded body, along with machined metal wheels and body-mounted scale knuckles. The 70-ton roller bearing trucks include spinning bearing caps, and RP25 wheel profiles ensure smooth performance on Code 55 through 100 rails. The XTTX version includes extra raised and collapsed hitches to model any trailer-length configuration, and the car is weighted for reliable handling in intermodal or mixed-freight trains.
