The Athearn Genesis F89-F Flat Car in XTTX configuration, Brown, is a detailed HO-scale replica of the mid‑century Trailer Train flatcar used for intermodal service. This model captures the distinctive XTTX setup with four hitches that can be raised or collapsed to accommodate different trailer lengths, letting layout operators recreate a variety of real‑world loading scenarios.

Built with a die-cast body and a realistically detailed deck, it features separately applied wire grab irons and ladders, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on Code 55 to 80 tracks, and a weighted chassis for steady tracking. It uses body-mounted operating scale knuckle couplers and comes decorated and ready to run out of the box. The XTTX variant includes extra raised and collapsed hitches to model multiple configurations, with a minimum radius of 22 inches and 24 inches or larger recommended for best performance.
