Athearn Genesis F89-F Flat Car in XTTX yellow is an HO-scale replica of the classic Trailer Train intermodal flatcar. Decorated and ready to run, this model uses a four-hitch XTTX configuration to accommodate different trailer lengths for trailer-on-flatcar (TOFC) service and mixed freight operations on HO layouts.

Built with a die-cast body and heavy frame for steady tracking, the car features a detailed deck, separately applied wire grab irons and ladders, and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for realistic operation on Code 55 to 80 track. It is weighted for reliable handling and includes raised and lowered hitches, a brake ratchet, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, plus extra raised and collapsed hitches to model multiple configurations. Ready to run out of the box, it supports layouts with minimum radii of 22 inches (24 inches or larger recommended) and works well in intermodal or mixed freight trains spanning from the 1960s onward.
