Athearn Genesis F89-F Flat Car in ATSF livery is a detailed HO-scale replica of a 1960s Trailer Train flatcar, designed for intermodal and general freight layouts. Decorated and ready to run out of the box, this model features a die-cast body and a heavy frame for reliable tracking, a finely detailed deck, and separately applied wire grab irons and ladders. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth operation on Code 55 to 80 track, and the weight helps keep the model steady in trains. Distinctive C-channel side sills give the replica an authentic look of the era.

Two configurations reflect prototype variety: the standard F89-F version includes a single set of hitches, a brake ratchet, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers; the XTTX version adds four hitches plus extra raised and collapsed hitches to model different trailer lengths.
