An N-scale Genesis F89-F Flat Car in Santa Fe livery. This Athearn model faithfully reproduces the 1960s-era Trailer Train F89-F flatcar, recognized for its distinctive C-channel side sills and versatility across TOFC, autoracks, and other loads. Decorated and ready to run, it works well on intermodal and mixed-freight layouts, reflecting decades of service across multiple railroads.

Key features include a die-cast body, raised and lowered hitches, a detailed deck, and separately applied wire grab irons and ladders. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours roll smoothly on Code 55 to 80 rails, and the model is weighted for reliable tracking. Decorated models are fully assembled and ready to run out of the box, equipped with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and a brake ratchet. The XTTX version adds four hitches to handle different trailer lengths, with extra raised and collapsed hitches to model various configurations.
