Introducing the Athearn Genesis F89-F Flat Car in Santa Fe livery, a detailed HO-scale replica of the Trailer Train F89-F flatcar that served intermodal and mixed freight from the 1960s onward. The model captures the era’s versatility—from TOFC to auto racks and other loads—through a die-cast body, raised and lowered hitches, a detailed deck, and separately applied wire grab irons and ladders. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and a weighted chassis help ensure smooth, reliable operation on layout tracks.

Designed for intermodal trains or mixed freight, this decorated model arrives fully assembled and ready to run. It features body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers, a brake ratchet, and an XTTX configuration with four hitches to handle different trailer lengths, plus extra raised and collapsed hitches to model a range of configurations. The heavy die-cast frame supports dependable tracking, and the wheels’ RP25 profiles run smoothly on Code 55 to 80 track.
