HO GP15T Locomotive Apalachicola Northern #722 (ATHG13249)

HO GP15T Locomotive Apalachicola Northern #722 (ATHG13249)

Apalachicola Northern HO GP15T Locomotive No. 722 is a detailed, ready-to-run HO-scale model of the turbocharged GP15T switcher that served the Apalachicola Northern Railway in the 1980s. The model faithfully reproduces the prototype’s distinctive features, including a nose-mounted Grya light (operational in DCC), operating class lights, a 5-chime horn, and a roof-mounted air conditioner, all wrapped in the unique hood configuration that set these units apart.

Built on a sturdy die-cast frame with fine-scale Celcon handrails and see-through cab windows with a full interior, the locomotive carries authentic detailing such as walkways, windshields, lift rings, and wire grab irons. It’s available in DCC-ready form with Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector for easy decoder upgrades, and sound-equipped variants feature a Tsunami2 decoder with dual speakers for engine, horn, and bell sounds that work in both DC and DCC. The GP15T is designed for yard work and light road service on HO layouts, with a minimum recommended radius of 18 inches and 22 inches for best performance, and the model ships fully assembled and ready to run.
