Inside, a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound drives authentic engine, horn, and bell effects through two speakers, with operation that covers both DC and DCC modes. The locomotive rides on a heavy die-cast frame with a precise GP15-1 driveline, RP25 wheels, and fine-scale Celcon handrails, complemented by body-mounted scale knuckle couplers for smooth operation. Features include see-through cab windows, a detailed fuel tank, and operating class lights (DCC only) plus operating number boards. A Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector eases DCC setup, and a CV chart is included for customization; the model is designed for an 18" minimum radius (22" recommended) on typical HO layouts.
