This four-axle diesel-electric switcher is designed for yard work and light road duties, built with a heavy die-cast frame and Genesis driveline for smooth, steady operation. Inside, a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers delivers authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds, and the model is compatible with both DC and DCC layouts. It ships fully assembled and ready to roll, with a plug-and-play 21-pin NEM connector for easy DCC setup and operating class lights that enhance realism.

Road-number 1572 features early as-delivered paint with no front pilot stripe, a C&EI logo on the cab, Blomberg M trucks, and all-blue handrails. The GP15-1 chassis includes detailed features such as see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, walkways, windshield wipers, lift rings, wire grab irons, and sander lines. It uses body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers and RP25 wheel contours for reliable operation on common tracks. Minimum radius is 18 inches (22 inches recommended). DCC operation is supported with adjustable CVs, and a CV chart is included to tailor performance and sounds to the layout.
