HO-scale GP15T Locomotive with DCC & Sound in Apalachicola Northern #720 livery. This fully assembled, ready-to-run model captures the turbocharged GP15T and its distinctive hood configuration for HO layouts. It features a nose-mounted Gyra light (operational in DCC), operating class lights, a 5-chime horn, and a roof-mounted air conditioner, all faithfully echoing the prototype. The Apalachicola Northern scheme originally wore a bright yellow paint job and later a vibrant dark blue, and both appearances are reflected to suit different display preferences.

Inside, the locomotive houses an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual cube speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC modes. It’s DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology via a 21-pin NEM connector, and it benefits from a detailed Genesis drivetrain with a 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet operation. Realistic features include see-through cab windows, full cab interior, walkways, windscreen wipers, fine Celcon handrails, and a heavy die-cast frame with all-wheel drive and electrical pickup; plus RP25 wheels for HO-track compatibility. Additional realism comes from scale couplers, MU hoses, and trainline hoses, with a CV chart included and lash-up capability for multiple units, designed for HO layouts with minimum radii around 18 inches (22 inches recommended).
