HO ACF 4600 3-Bay Center Flow Hopper AC&Y #467 (ATHG15427)

An HO-scale model of a 3-bay Center Flow covered hopper, originally built by American Car and Foundry in the mid-1960s. These cars were designed to haul grain, corn, and other bulk commodities, using a rounded Center Flow body that provides structural strength and simplifies gravity unloading by eliminating the traditional center sill. The model represents the common 4,600 cubic-foot capacity version and is depicted in AC&Y livery as road number 467, with additional road numbers available.

Ready to roll out of the box, the model offers three body styles—early, mid, and late—along with round or trough hatches, a photo-etched roofwalk, and separately applied grab irons and stirrup steps. It rides on Genesis 100-ton trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, weighted for optimum performance. The car is fully painted and printed to resemble the prototype, making it a versatile addition for grain trains and other bulk-commodity service on an HO layout.
