HO Santa Fe ACF 4600 3-Bay Center-Flow Hopper is a ready-to-run HO-scale model that recreates the mid-1960s three-bay center-flow hopper used for grain and other bulk loads. The 4600 cubic foot capacity and rounded body design eliminate the traditional center sill, making gravity unloading easier and reflecting the design that set Center Flow cars apart. The model captures era variations—early, mid, and late—each with distinctive details such as ladders, brake wheels, and stiffeners, along with round or trough hatches and a photo-etched roofwalk. It arrives fully assembled, accurately painted and printed, with separately applied wire grab irons and stirrup steps and a complete brake system including a separate brake cylinder, valve, and air reservoir for added realism.

On the rails, the car is equipped with screw-mounted trucks and body-mounted operating scale knuckle couplers, weighted for smooth handling. Genesis 100-ton trucks ride on 36-inch machined metal wheels and feature animated spinning roller bearing caps, enhancing the model’s realism for grain-train and bulk-commodity operations on HO layouts.
