Great Northern F45 Locomotive GN 434 is an HO-scale, ready-to-run model that faithfully reproduces the GN’s distinctive cowl-bodied freight locomotive. Built on a heavy die-cast frame, it delivers solid traction and a convincing presence on HO layouts with authentic detailing and finish.

Inside, the cab features a full interior with see-through windows, while the exterior is rich with scale details like wire grab irons, coupler cut levers, walkways, wipers, and a detailed fuel tank. The drivetrain uses a Genesis system with a 5-pole motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain for smooth, quiet operation, complemented by all-wheel electrical pickup and RP25-contoured wheels for reliable performance. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology (21-pin NEM connector), and sound-equipped variants add onboard Tsunami2 sound that can operate in both DC and DCC modes. Prototypical GN elements such as a Xenon beacon, high-mounted headlight, winterization hatch, 3-chime horn, firecracker antenna, and small EMD plow complete the look.
