HO F45u Locomotive MKCX is an HO-scale, cowl-bodied freight locomotive modeled after Electro-Motive Division’s F45u in the Santa Fe MKCX configuration with markings removed. This ready-to-run model captures the prototype's distinctive styling, including a nose-mounted headlight, a 3-chime horn on a bracket, a roof-mounted air conditioner, and a passenger-service style plow, with walkway ditch lights for added realism on modern layouts.

Inside, the model offers a full cab interior and fine-scale detailing—see-through cab windows, wire grab irons, and scale handrails—mounted to a heavy die-cast frame for traction and a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet operation. It features all-wheel electrical pickup and RP25-contoured wheels for dependable performance, and is DCC-ready with a Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector for easy decoder installation. Sound-equipped versions include onboard Tsunami2 decoders delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds with full DCC compatibility.
