HO FP45 Locomotive with DCC & Sound ATSF #5943 (ATHG18375)

The HO FP45 Locomotive with DCC & Sound in Santa Fe livery (ATSF 5943) is an HO-scale model designed to deliver authentic FP45 operation on model railroads. This ready-to-run locomotive includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, providing engine, horn, and bell sounds on DC and full DCC functionality when used on a DCC layout. It uses Quick Plug plug‑and‑play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector for easy setup and upgrades.

Prototype-detail oriented features include a nose-mounted headlight, a cab-mounted gyralight with emergency red warning light (visible in DCC), a 5-chime horn, and a passenger-style front plow with the steam generator removed for freight service. The model also offers a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, wire grab irons, scale handrails, and a detailed fuel tank. A heavy die-cast frame provides traction, with all-wheel drive and electrical pickup across the wheels and RP25-contoured wheels for smoother running on common tracks. It is ready to run out of the box and suitable for HO layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius (22 inches recommended). For MU operation, the model can be configured via CV adjustments, and a CV chart is included in the box.
