HO F7A Locomotive ACL #365 (ATHG19585)

HO-scale F7A diesel locomotive in Atlantic Coast Line's purple-and-silver livery, unit 365. This Phase I F7A model recreates the early SCL/ACL freight units, complete with back-up lights, a freight pilot on the A-unit, and authentic grab-iron detailing. Road-number variations are reflected: 365 has cut skirts, while 370 and 336-B wear full skirts. The model captures the bulldog-nose profile, see-through cab with a detailed interior, and includes separately applied etched metal and injection-molded details for a highly realistic appearance.

Built for reliable, prototypical operation on modern layouts, this F7A features a heavy die-cast frame, all-wheel drive, and RP25 wheel contours for smooth running on common track. It uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and is DCC-ready with Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector. Sound-equipped versions add a DCC decoder with Tsunami2 sound, dual speakers, and NMRA-compatible function control in DCC mode, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds and responsive low-speed operation. LED headlights and directional lighting, along with beacons where prototypically equipped, enhance realism. The model supports both DC and DCC operation and is recommended for minimum 18" radius curves (22" or larger preferred).
