HO F7A Locomotive C&WC #905 (ATHG19588)

HO-scale F7A Locomotive, C&WC No. 905, is a detailed diesel model designed for HO layouts, recreating the Phase I F-unit used by the C&WC. This locomotive captures the prototype with features such as no dynamic brakes, dual single-note air horns on the A-unit, a freight pilot, as-built grab irons and skirts, and back-up lights. It’s DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector for straightforward digital control, making it easy to add sound or run on modern layouts.

Inside, the model combines a robust Genesis driveline—the 5-pole skew-wound motor, heavy die-cast frame, and all-wheel drive—with precise detailing like see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, etched metal parts, and body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible). Sound-equipped versions feature onboard DCC with SoundTraxx Tsunami2, dual cube speakers, and operation in both DC and DCC modes, plus MU lashups and prototypical lighting such as beacons and Gyralight. For layout planning, the model is designed for minimum 18" radii (22" recommended) to ensure smooth, authentic operation on common HO tracks.
