HO FP7 Locomotive C&EI #1605 (ATHG19610)

HO FP7 Locomotive C&EI #1605 (ATHG19610)

HO-scale FP7 Locomotive in C&EI livery, roster number 1605, recreates GM-EMD’s 1,500-horsepower FP7 diesel-electric locomotive used for passenger service in the late 1940s and early 1950s. This high-detail model reflects the prototype’s longer body and steam-heat equipment for trailing passenger cars, delivering an authentic centerpiece for HO layouts that feature mid-century trains.

Key features include a heavy die-cast frame for traction, detailed Blomberg-B trucks, LED lighting, see-through cab windows with a full cab interior, and a suite of prototype details such as coupler cut levers, trainline and MU hoses, windshield wipers, lift rings, grab irons, sanding lines, and etched fan grilles. The model is DCC-ready with Quick Plug and a 21-pin NEM connector, uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible), and rides on RP25 wheels for smooth operation on standard HO track. Some variants are equipped with onboard DCC and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers, while remaining compatible with both DC and DCC control; a CV chart is included for adjustments. Minimum operating radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best performance on curves.
