HO FP7 Locomotive C&EI #1607 (ATHG19611)

HO FP7 Locomotive C&EI #1607 (ATHG19611)

HO FP7 Locomotive, C&EI #1607, is a detailed HO-scale diesel-electric model that recreates the late-1940s FP7 passenger-hauler used by the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railway. This faithful replica captures the prototype’s distinctive look, including see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, with prototypical lighting and detailing to bring the era to life on any HO layout. The FP7 was designed for passenger service and could also handle freight duties, a heritage reflected in the model’s versatile presentation.

Built for HO railroading, this locomotive is DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connectors for easy decoder installation and control. A heavy die-cast frame provides traction and rugged long-term use, while LED lighting, full-depth Blomberg-B trucks, and RP25 wheels contribute to realistic operation on most HO track. The model features direction-constant lighting, a see-through cab with interior detail, and separately applied metal etching and injection-molding details for added realism. Couplers are body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle units that are Kadee compatible, and the minimum radius is 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for smooth operation around curves. Some CEI variants include dual horns, full skirts, and other prototype details; certain versions also offer onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers for DC and DCC operation.
