HO-scale Southern Pacific F3A Locomotive with DCC & Sound, SP #6105, is a detailed, ready-to-run model designed for authentic operation on HO layouts. Representing SP’s late-1940s F3A Phase II units, it captures the classic “Covered Wagon” silhouette with period-correct detailing and a faithful profile. A heavy die-cast frame and a Genesis driveline deliver solid traction and smooth, quiet running, while body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) ensure reliable coupling to freight cars. The model is DCC-ready with a Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector and LED lighting for realistic night-time effects.

Sound-equipped versions feature an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, dual cube speakers, and operation in both DC and DCC (some functions are limited in DC; all functions are NMRA-compatible in DCC). Prototypical detailing spans see-through cab windows with a full interior, etched metal fan grills, and a detailed fuel tank with fillers and gauges, plus lift rings, windshield wipers, sanding lines, trainline and MU hoses, and other separately-applied metal and injection-molded parts. The model supports MU lashups with lead unit-controlled horn, bell, and lights, and offers lighting effects such as beacons and gyralights where prototypically accurate. With RP25 wheel contours for reliable tracking and a minimum 18" radius (22" recommended), it’s built for smooth operation on most HO layouts. A CV chart is included for customization.
