HO Scale FP7 Locomotive with DCC & Sound is a detailed, ready-to-run replica of General Motors’ FP7 diesel locomotive, designed to haul passenger trains on HO layouts. It combines a 1,500-horsepower drive with a DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell effects through dual speakers and able to operate in both DC and DCC power. The model also features see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, complemented by LED lighting for a realistic nighttime or daylight appearance on the layout.

Built for realism and reliable performance, this FP7 sits on a heavy die-cast frame with prototype-style details such as Blomberg-B trucks, etched metal grills, and detailed fuel tanks. It uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and RP25 wheels for smooth operation with most HO track. A Quick Plug 21-pin DCC interface simplifies setup, and the model supports MU lashups and prototype-specific details to enhance operation on both DC and DCC systems, with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for best performance.
