HO FP7 Locomotive with DCC & Sound, Southern #6133, is an HO-scale replica of EMD’s FP7 diesel-electric locomotive, designed to haul passenger trains on model layouts and occasionally handle freight. The prototype-inspired design includes the longer body needed for steam-heat equipment and accurate Southern livery, while onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and a DCC decoder deliver authentic engine, horn, and bell effects with realistic lighting.

Built on a heavy die-cast frame for solid traction, this model features Blomberg-B trucks, see-through cab windows with a full interior, LED lighting, and a wealth of detailed parts such as etched metal grills and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible). Road-number-specific touches like the Nathan M5 horn, cut skirts, eyebrow grabs, cab walkways, and steam generators mirror the prototype, while a 21-pin Quick Plug connection supports easy DCC setup and operation on DC or DCC layouts. Minimum radius is 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for smooth running, making it a compelling centerpiece for HO-scale passenger or mixed-traffic consists.
