HO M-K California Coach with Lights, CDTX #8022 (ATHG24414)

HO scale California Coach with Lights is a ready-to-run model designed to represent Amtrak’s Surfliner-era bi-level passenger cars. It comes fully assembled and finished with authentic Amtrak colors, tinted windows, and detailed end sections featuring train-line hoses and HEP receptacles. Each car is individually named and numbered, and it rides on McHenry scale knuckle couplers with RP25 wheels for reliable operation on standard HO track, packaged securely for safe storage.

LED lighting provides long-lasting illumination, with an on-board DCC decoder (NCE) that runs in both DCC and analog (DC) layouts and allows lighting control in DCC. Sound-equipped versions feature a Tsunami SoundCar decoder with sounds recorded from actual Surfliner cars, including A/C, doors, station announcements, vacuum toilet, rail noises, and more; cab cars carry authentic K5LA or P5 horn and bell, along with working headlights and ditch lights. Cab cars also reflect era variations with three antenna arrangements, while interior details reproduce the two-level layout with upper and lower service areas, interior stairs, and luggage racks for added realism.
