HO-scale California Dining Car with Lights captures Amtrak’s Bi-Level California Car dining car in HO scale for realistic intercity operation. This model uses long-life LED lighting for interior and exterior illumination and includes an on-board DCC decoder that works with both DCC and analog (DC) layouts, with lighting functions controllable in DCC. Some versions add a Tsunami SoundCar decoder with authentic Surfliner sounds, providing ambience from doors opening and closing to rail and station sounds. The car is painted in licensed Amtrak colors with tinted window glass and detailed exterior and interior features that mirror the real car’s two-level dining/service areas.

Inside, the two-level arrangement recreates the upper-level dining and lounge area with accurate interior detailing and separate color schemes for floors, walls, seats, and service counters.
