This model captures prototype variation with three body phases—early, flat panel, and late—and supports multiple road numbers across singles and 3-packs. It features separately applied walkway platforms, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging detail, safety rail supports, and tank saddles, with photo-etched walkways and end platforms and wire safety rails for added realism.

Running gear and underframe details are equally precise: the model includes full underframe detailing with body-mounted brakes (or truck-mounted brakes per prototype), printed placards, and McHenry scale double-shelf couplers mounted on the body.
