An HO-scale model of a 33,900-gallon LPG tank car in the GATX fleet, designed to bring authentic tank-car detail to an HO layout. This highly detailed replica captures the distinctive cylindrical tank, piping and fittings, and the robust underframe that supports it. It includes multiple road numbers for variety and three body phases—early, flat-panel, and late—to reflect variations seen in service. Separately applied elements include a walkway platform, manway, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, and safety rail supports, with photo-etched walkways and end platforms, plus wire safety rails and end handrails. The underframe features full detailing with either body-mounted brakes or truck-mounted brakes to match the prototype, along with printed placards where appropriate.

Equipped with body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers, 100-ton trucks with animated rotating bearing caps, and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, this model pairs rugged realism with smooth operation. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and accurately painted for prototypical realism, and it includes coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses and related hardware. Weighted for reliable performance on HO layouts, it’s ready to run on typical curves, minimum 18" radii, with a recommended radius of 22" to ensure steady handling and a convincing, on-track presence.
