HO 33,900-Gallon LPG Tank Model (ATHG25585)

HO-scale 33,900-gallon LPG Tank Car, designed for HO model railroading to add authentic LPG tanker traffic to a layout. It captures the look of a real LPG tanker and provides versatility with three body styles—early, flat panel, and late—and multiple road numbers to fit various eras on a roster.

Prototype-grade detail includes separately applied walkways, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports, and tank saddles, plus photo-etched walkways and end platforms. The underframe carries full detail with either body-mounted or truck-mounted brakes as per the prototype, along with printed placards, McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers, 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps, and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours. The highly detailed injection-molded body is carefully painted and printed for realism, complemented by coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware. Weighted for smooth operation, this model is best run on HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches, with 22 inches or larger recommended for reliable performance on most layouts.
