HO 33,900 Gallon LPG Tank PROX #1 Model (ATHG25586)

This HO-scale 33,900-gallon LPG tank car, PROX #1, is designed for realistic prototypical operation on HO layouts.

It features multiple road numbers to match a fleet and three body phases—early, flat panel, and late—to reflect different production eras. It includes separately applied walkway platforms, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging detail, safety rail supports and tank saddles. Photo-etched metal walkways and end platforms, plus wire safety rails and end handrails, add to the model's realism. The underframe is fully detailed with authentic brake gear mounted either on the car body or on the trucks as in the prototype, and printed placards, body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckles couplers, 100-ton trucks with rotating bearing caps and printed road numbers further enhance prototypical accuracy. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours roll on an injection-molded body that's been accurately painted and printed for realism, and the model includes coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and related hardware. Weighted for smooth operation, it has a minimum operating radius of 18 inches, with 22 inches or larger recommended for best handling on most HO layouts.
