This HO-scale 33,900-gallon LPG Tank Car, UTLX No. 1, is a highly detailed model designed to populate authentic HO-scale rail scenes with a prototypical LPG tanker appearance. It offers multiple road numbers (singles and 3-packs) and three body phases—early, flat-panel, and late—to reflect different eras. Separately applied walkway platforms, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports, and tank saddles deliver authentic detail, while photo-etched walkways and end platforms add refinements that enhance realism.

The model features full underframe detail with brakes as per prototype, printed placards, and body-mounted McHenry® scale double-shelf knuckle couplers. It rides on 100-ton trucks with animated rotating bearing caps and printed road numbers, and it uses machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation. The highly detailed, injection-molded body is accurately painted and printed for prototypical realism, and it includes coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware. Weighted for optimum performance, it is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches and a recommended radius of 22 inches.
