HO 33,900-Gallon LPG Tank CPDX #1 Model (ATHG25595)

An HO scale 33,900-gallon LPG tank car designed for realistic freight operation on HO layouts. It offers multiple road numbers with unique markings across singles and three-packs and presents three body phases—early, flat panel, and late—to reflect different eras. The model includes separately applied walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails and end handrails, a manway, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports and tank saddles, with photo-etched walkways and end platforms for crisp, prototypical detail.

Designed for faithful performance, it features full underframe detail with options for body-mounted or truck-mounted brakes as per the prototype. It rides on 100-ton trucks with animated rotating bearing caps and machined RP25 wheels, and uses McHenry scale double-shelf couplers with printed road numbers and placards. Additional realism comes from coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and hardware, all weighted for smooth operation. Painted and printed to mirror prototypical appearance and sized for HO layouts, it requires an 18-inch minimum radius (22 inches recommended) for optimal tracking.
