HO 33,900-Gallon LPG Tank SIRX #1 Model (ATHG25598)

An HO-scale model of a 33,900-gallon LPG tank car designed to add realistic LPG freight to HO layouts.

It offers multiple road numbers, available as singles or three-packs, and three body phases—early, flat-panel, and late—to reflect prototype variations. The model features separately applied walkway platforms, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports, and tank saddles, plus photo-etched walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails, and end handrails. Underframe detail is complete, with body-mounted brakes or truck-mounted brakes as appropriate to the prototype, and printed placards where needed. It rides on 100-ton trucks with animated rotating bearing caps and printed road numbers, and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and accurately painted and printed for prototypical realism, and includes coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware. The model is weighted for stable performance and is recommended for minimum radii of 18 inches, with a 22-inch radius preferred for best clearance on most layouts.
