This HO-scale plastic model kit recreates a 50-foot PC&F Ex-Post insulated boxcar, a 1960s-era design built to protect temperature-sensitive cargo such as canned goods. The model captures prototype variations in side panel construction and door types to reflect real-world differences.

Inside the kit you’ll find authentic details such as separately applied wire grab irons and etched metal coupler platforms, plus full underframe detail with a cushion underframe, air-brake reservoir, control valve, and brake cylinders with plumbing. It’s weighted for steady operation and rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours. The trucks feature rotating bearing caps, and the package includes lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware. Couplers are body-mounted scale knuckles for a prototypical appearance, and the injection-molded body is accurately painted and printed for realism. For HO-track performance, a minimum 18-inch radius is required, with 22 inches or more recommended for best results.
