This HO-scale Union Pacific SD9043MAC Locomotive, UP 8026, is a detailed, ready-to-run model designed to faithfully reproduce Union Pacific’s late-1990s high-horsepower diesel power on an HO layout.

Authentic UP cues include a Leslie 3-chime horn, a large EMD plow, and front ditch lights, along with illuminated ground lights and number boards, see-through cab windows, and a full interior. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with eight-wheel drive, precision gears, and RP25-contoured wheels for smooth operation, and it features a detailed fuel tank, etched walkway steps, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play and a 21-pin NM connector; sound-equipped versions add an onboard Tsunami2 decoder with dual cube speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC modes, with CV-based customization and a CV chart included. The prototype-inspired design notes a minimum curve radius of 18 inches with 22 inches recommended for best performance, and the model ships fully assembled and ready to run on compatible layouts.
