An HO-scale EMD SD9043MAC locomotive in CPR livery with DCC and sound, designed to recreate CP’s patched ex-UP SD90MACs in service. The model captures CP’s distinctive details such as a Nathan 3-chime horn, a large EMD plow, and front ditch lights, with illuminated ground lights and number boards for added realism. Road-number-specific finishes reproduce faded original paint with CP patches across units, offering authentic variation among the CP ex-UP fleet.

Under the shell lies a Genesis-driven platform built around a heavy die-cast frame and eight-wheel drive, with all-wheel electrical pickup for smooth, quiet operation on HO layouts. It features etched, see-through walkway steps and see-through cab windows with a full interior, plus LED lighting and scale details like Celcon handrails and a detailed fuel tank. The model is DCC-ready with a Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector and onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds that work on both DC and DCC. It ships fully assembled and ready to run and is well suited to weathering to achieve a grime-weathered, in-service look; operate best on HO radii around 22 inches (minimum 18 inches).
