An HO-scale Dash 9-44CW locomotive in Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) livery, designed to bring authentic late-1990s freight power to an HO layout. This model reproduces a 1998-built Dash 9 with a striped-free paint scheme and a simple black road name and reporting marks on the cab sides, complemented by a replacement nose door borrowed from a Superfleet unit to add a distinctive, era-appropriate detail. It arrives fully assembled and ready to run for immediate operation on your layout.

Prototype detailing includes PTC antennas, illuminated ground lights above the front trucks, front and rear walkway lights, and illuminated number boards, along with etched, see-through walkway steps. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline (5-pole motor with precision machined flywheels) and all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet operation, plus body-mounted scale knuckle couplers and Celcon handrails for a realistic appearance. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology via a 21-pin NEM connector, features LED lighting, and, in sound-equipped variants, onboard DCC with Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers. Minimum operating radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best performance on most HO layouts.
