HO-scale Dash 9-44CW Locomotive in Kansas City Southern livery, road number 4430, a ready-to-run model designed for HO-scale layouts. This version recreates the patchwork look seen on KCS units after BNSF heritage repaints, featuring road-number-specific artwork, unique per-number styling, patches where former BNSF logos resided, and the distinctive K3LA horn.

Based on the Genesis platform, this locomotive delivers robust performance with a heavy die-cast frame for traction and a host of fine details, including LED lighting, a fully detailed cab interior, illuminated ground lights above the front trucks, front and rear walkway lights, and etched see-through walkway steps. The 4430 variant includes PTC antennas and a replacement air conditioner borrowed from a Santa Fe Superfleet unit. Sound-equipped versions pair an onboard Tsunami2 decoder with dual speakers and operate in both DC and DCC, with full function control and MU lashups. Prototyped on GE-produced Dash 9-44CW locomotives from 1993–2004, the model captures authentic geometry and prototypical finishing for a realistic mainline look. A minimum 18-inch turning radius is required, with 22 inches recommended for optimal operation.
