Ready to run, it includes a DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound for authentic engine noises, horn, and bell as operation on a layout brings the model to life.

Prototype details include a nose door replacement from a Superfleet unit in 2018 and PTC antennas, as well as illuminated ground lights above the front trucks, front and rear walkway lights, and illuminated number boards with etched, see-through walkway steps. Built on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline for smooth, quiet all-wheel-drive operation and reliable current pickup, it features fine-scale handrails and LED lighting for a highly realistic appearance. The onboard DCC with Tsunami2 sound provides a full suite of locomotive sounds with NMRA-compatible functions for flexible operation, and the model is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches and a recommended radius of 22 inches for best performance.
