HO Dash 9-44CW Locomotive with DCC and Sound, GECX 4809 is an HO-scale, ready-to-run diesel that recreates GE’s Dash 9-44CW with a GECX patch reflecting its BNSF heritage. This model pairs DCC operation with onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and LED lighting for authentic, controllable performance on modern model railroads.

Beyond the detailed exterior, the locomotive features a heavy die-cast frame for traction, a full cab interior with see-through windows, etched walkway steps, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers. It is DCC-ready via Quick Plug with a 21-pin NEM connector and includes an onboard DCC decoder with Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers for clear engine audio on both DC and DCC layouts. The model offers all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, RP25 wheel contours for compatibility with popular track, and lighting including ground lights above the front trucks, front and rear walkway lights, and number boards.
