HO Scale AC4400CW Locomotive — Ferromex FXE 4525 is a detailed HO-model of GE’s AC4400CW, accurately reproducing Ferromex’s late-1990s power for an authentic layout. Delivered between 1998 and 2000, these units featured GE self-steering trucks to reduce track wear and boost traction on curves; this model faithfully captures that configuration and the prototype’s appearance for realistic operation.

This DCC-ready locomotive uses Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, with LED lighting that includes illuminated number boards, ground and walkway lights, plus see-through cab windows and a full cab interior. It rides on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline and a 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet performance and reliable electrical pickup. Sound-equipped versions include a Tsunami2 decoder with dual speakers, delivering engine, horn and bell sounds that work in both DC and DCC, with full DCC functionality and CV-based tuning for precise slow-speed control and MU operation.
