HO Gas Turbine Locomotive UP No. 58 is a ready-to-run HO-scale model that faithfully recreates Union Pacific’s postwar gas-turbine locomotive. Fully assembled and designed for both layout use and display, this replica captures the short nose door and handrails unique to No. 58, with accurate UP livery and detailed paint to reflect the late-1950s appearance.

Under the hood, the Genesis driveline uses a five-pole skew-wound motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain for smooth, reliable operation. Offered in sound-equipped or DCC-ready configurations, it features SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with two speakers (and four cube speakers for robust audio) in the sound version, while the DCC-ready version includes a 21-pin harness for easy DCC installation; both variants run on DC or DCC and support full NMRA functionality. A comprehensive lighting package—Mars light, emergency stop light, class lights, number boards, and a backup light—pairs with McHenry scale knuckle couplers for authentic operation, and the model is designed for HO layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius (22 inches recommended).
