HO-Scale Gas Turbine Locomotive with Tender — UP 59 is a highly detailed, ready-to-run HO model that recreates GE’s postwar gas-turbine locomotive paired with a 24,000-gallon tender. It captures the late-life UP appearance with sectional grilles, a raised air intake, a short nose door with handrails, and aluminum-painted trucks and tender. Fully assembled and prepared for layout use or display, this locomotive is ideal for late-transition UP scenes and fits HO track with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended for best operation).

Under the hood, the Genesis driveline delivers smooth performance with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain. Sound-equipped versions feature SoundTrax Tsunami2 with four cube speakers and onboard decoding, while a DC-only version remains operable and a DCC-ready variant ships with a 21-pin wiring harness for easy installation. All functions are NMRA-compatible in DCC mode, and engine, horn, and bell sounds operate in DC. Fine detailing includes McHenry scale knuckle couplers, razor-sharp painting and printing, and period-appropriate lighting such as MARS lights, emergency stop lights, class lights, number boards, and a backup light.
