HO Scale SDP40F Locomotive in Southern Railway livery, SOU #7707. The #7707 road unit features a low-profile body designed for East Coast service with low-profile fans and an air conditioner unit, reflecting the prototype's configuration.

On the layout, it delivers authentic lighting and interior detailing, including illuminated ground and classification lights, illuminated number boards, and an oscillating headlight, along with working truck lights, MU hoses, separate see-through intake grills, and front and rear trainline hoses. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with eight-wheel drive and RP25 wheels for solid traction, and it includes a detailed cab interior with a control stand. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology (21-pin NEM connector); sound-equipped versions add a SoundTraxx Tsunami2 decoder with dual speakers for engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC operation. Fully assembled and ready to run, the locomotive also includes a CV chart for tuning and is suitable for HO layouts with minimum 18" curves (22" is recommended).
