HO GP40P-2 Locomotive UP #1373 is an HO-scale model that recreates a patched SP GP40P-2 unit carried by Union Pacific after the 1996 merger. The finish captures the era’s weathered look, with faded SP paint and UP numbering indicating the patchwork history these locomotives wore. It features a large front plow, roof-mounted air conditioning, lit number boards, and a 3600-gallon fuel tank, along with ditch lights on both ends and a late-body shell in which SP light gear and steam-generator equipment were removed.
